Coming up in 2012…

A Collusion of Species: Human and Plant Forms Conjoined. Opening in April 2012 at Castello di Galeazza, Pepoli, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, this show of light forms, collagraphs, window prints and works in mixed media encaustic will hang in multiple venues throughout the castle complex and show through October of 2012. In conjunction with the show I will be offering a week-long printmaking intensive, Plein Air & Mixed Media Printmaking in Rural Italy: Exploring Painterly Monotype amidst the Garden Splendor of Galeazza.

2011   Human Tracks: A Barnyard Collaboration among species. An installation on Goddard College in July of ten votive columns mounted on birch stumps. These candle lit luminaires are made with rubbings on kozo of goat-chewed birch trees in our back paddock in Thorndike, Maine. The columns themselves are made of sailcloth and are part of an-going site-based arts and ecology project. 3 of these votive columns were installed again in October in conjunction with the conference Making, Meaning and Context: A Radical Reconsideration of Art’s Work.
